Welcome to Mish Market; I'm Amanda Mishevich the creative behind the brand. And Designer. And Purchaser. And Maker. And Advertiser. And Delivery Goddess....because I'm also a Mom of three and we really can do it all! I've been embroidering for 9 years as a side hustle through word of mouth and for family and friends. Creating special gifts is my love language.
Now that my youngest is 1- I'm ready to take the show on the road! I love cultivating and creating in every aspect of my life, and few things bring me more joy than that personal touch. I hope you love my little shop as much as I do! It's inspired by my home, my friends, and my little loves: Charley, Reese and Kane. You'll see samples with their names all over the place because the only people who appreciate the feeling of something all their own more than me- is them! Plus, they make pretty cute models.
In my past life (read: before kids) I did Events and Marketing, and most recently finished a five year stretch caring for my 104 year old Grandmother, with my kids in tow. My grandmother, Pedge, is no doubt where my creative energy is inherited from. I know she's loving this for me. When I'm not behind my sewing machine you'll find me in the garden or gym. We've got a pretty great Kitchen Garden. That is where the name Mish Market originated, as we would pass along extras to our friends and neighbors. So to sum it up - I'm just a thirty something Mom from Wilmette, living in Northbrook, and embracing the hobbies of the Grannies. I think the Gen Z'ers have a special name for me. Oh and before I forget- can we all give round of applause to my husband, Nick, who has mastered the art of dishes and laundry over the past 6 months as I've grinded away with Mish Market? I just love this next chapter for myself, my family and am so glad you're here too!
